The 12th-ranked William Smith soccer team begins a three-game road trip on Saturday, Sept. 28, when it travels to Saratoga Springs, New York, to take on Skidmore. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Thoroughbreds' Wachenheim Field. The Herons will play five of their next six games away from Geneva.
 
William Smith is 5-2-1 overall, including a 1-0-0 record in Liberty League play. On Wednesday, the Herons defeated RIT 2-1 to kick off their conference schedule. Senior Ava Brazie and sophomore Kaleigh Darby each scored for William Smith.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 6-0-1 overall and have won five straight games. Skidmore also opened Liberty League play on Wednesday, defeating Clarkson 2-1.
 
William Smith and Skidmore enter the weekend tied with Vassar atop the league standings with three points each.
