The top-ranked Hobart hockey team begins the 2025 portion of its schedule on Saturday, Jan. 4, when it begins a five-game road trip at Manhattanville. The Statesmen and Valiants are scheduled to faceoff at 7 p.m. at Rye Playland Ice Casino.
 
Hobart enters the second half of the season with a 10-0-0 overall record. The Statesmen are ranked first in the USCHO.com poll, receiving 19 of the 20 first-place votes. Hobart is first in the nation in winning percentage (1.000). The Statesmen are 8-0-0 in New England Hockey Conference play and have a nine-point lead in the conference standings.
 
Manhattanville is 3-6-1 overall this season and is looking to snap a four-game losing streak. The Valiants are 3-4-1 in league play and are tied for third in the UCHC standings.

• Junior forward Tanner Daniels leads Hobart with eight goals and 13 points. Daniels is eighth in the nation in goals per game (0.80) and 24th in points per game (1.30).
• Sophomore defenseman Bauer Morrissey has a team-leading nine assists.  He is 22nd in the nation in assists per game (0.90).
• The Statesmen have utilized their depth this season with 27 players recording at least one point through the first 10 games of the season.
• Juniors Damon Beaver and Mavrick Goyer have split time in goal, posting identical 5-0-0 records. They rank first in the nation in winning percentage. Beaver is first in the nation in save percentage (.962) and second in GAA (1.00). Goyer is first in GAA (0.80) and second in save percentage (.955).
• Hobart ranks first in the nation in penalty killing percentage (.938), scoring offense (5.00), scoring defense (0.90) and scoring margin (+4.10).

• Johno Hoins leads Manhattanville with 12 points on six goals and six assists.

• Lane Paddison leads the Valiants with nine assists. He is 22nd in the nation in assists per game.
• William Billequey has played the majority of the minutes in goal. He is 2-3-1 with a 2.35 GAA and a .939 save percentage.
• Manhattanville enters the weekend averaging 2.9 goals per game while allowing 3.5 goals per game. The Valiants are 14th in the nation in penalty-killing percentage (.880) and 21st in power-play percentage (.243).

• Saturday's game will be the 55th meeting between Hobart and Manhattanville.

• This will be the first meeting since Oct. 30, 2021. The Statesmen erupted for eight goals in the second period as they defeated Manhattanville 9-2 at The Cooler. Wil Crane '24 had a hat trick and Luke Aquaro scored twice to lead Hobart. Ethan Mulhearn added three assists.
