Joseph Raskin Lantos won their fifth matches of the season this afternoon as the Statesmen took on Connecticut College at The Smith Squash Center.
The duo of Clegg-Petri and Raskin Lantos played in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively, but the Statesmen were edged by Connecticut College 7-2.
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Clegg-Petri trailed 1-0 and 2-1 in his match against Hudson Dunn, but rallied to defeat his Connecticut College foe, 11-13, 11-2, 10-12, 11-7, 11-7. Clegg-Petri is 5-3 on the season, including a 3-2 mark in the No. 2 spot.
- Raskin Lantos had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Henry Pelletier in the No. 3 spot. Raskin Lantos won 11-9, 9-11, 10-12, 11-7, 11-5. He is 5-2 on the season, playing all seven matches on the season. It was the senior's 36th career win.
- Connecticut College won the other seven matches in 3-0 sweeps.
- Roberto Vega battled tough for the Statesmen at No. 4 but was edged,14-12, 11-9, 11-8.

- Connecticut College improves to 4-7 on the season.
- Hobart is 1-7.

Hobart will be back in action on Sunday, Jan. 12 when it hosts 24th-ranked Bowdoin. The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Smith Squash Center.
