ITHACA, N.Y. -The Hobart swimming and diving team traveled to Ithaca this afternoon for a Tri-meet with the host Bombers and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The Statesmen combined for 36 points and fell to both Ithaca and WPI with 248 points each. Hobart is now 0-3 to start the season.
 
Sophomore 
Gerard Humiston and junior 
Christopher Woody led the way for Hobart. Humiston finished 10th place in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:42.91 and 12th in the 500-yard freestyle after touching the wall at 5:33.53. Woody added a 10th place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke after stopping the clock at 2:33.44 and finished 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.26.
 
Sophomore 
Payton Owens swam to an 11th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke after touching the wall at 2:33.38. First-year 
Joseph Thompson continued to impress in the start of his collegiate career with a 13th place finish in the 200-yard butterfly.
 
From the diving board, first-year 
Steven Nolte finished fifth on the 3-meter board after earning a score of 108.40.

Hobart will be back in action Friday, Oct. 31, when it hosts Alfred University for its home-opener. Action between the Statesmen and the Saxons is set for 4 p.m. in Bristol Pool.
