MATCH MOMENTS
  • Clarkson jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute. The sequence started when Paige Ford's shot was turned aside by a diving Goerke. On the ensuing corner kick, Gillett's initial shot was blocked by a defender. She picked up the loose ball and curled a shot into the lower right-hand corner of the cage.
  • The Herons nearly tied the game four minutes later, but senior Julia Accioly fired a shot just over the crossbar.
  • The Golden Knights took a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute. Everest intercepted a clearing pass, took two steps and chipped a shot over Goerke into the left corner of the cage.
  • William Smith started its comeback in the 31st minute. Bragg broke up a crossing pass along the Clarkson defensive line. The ball bounced past Wood and trickled towards the goal line. Bragg continued crashing the net with Hotaling and got her foot on the ball again just before it crossed the line for her sixth goal of the year.
  • Hotaling tied the game with 24 seconds left in the half. She bent a free kick from 30 yards out into the upper left corner of the goal. It was her eighth tally of the season.
  • Using the momentum of Hotaling's goal, the Herons dominated the second half. William Smith peppered the Clarkson defense in the opening stages of the half and hit a pair of posts. First-year Sofia Carney drilled a shot off of the left goal post and Bragg hit the right post.
  • The Herons took their first goal of the lead in the 79th minute. Nichols headed home a crossing pass from sophomore Casey Holstein for her first goal of the season.
