The Hobart and William Smith squash teams will kick off their 2025-26 season in Clinton, New York, this Saturday, Nov. 15. The Statesmen and Herons will take on the Continentals at 11 a.m. at the Little Squash Center.

Head Coach Whitney Stewart is back for her second season in charge of the HWS Squash teams. She returns 15 athletes with varsity experience.

On the Hobart side, seven Statesmen are back from a team that won six matches and finished third in the Conroy Cup at CSA Team National Championship. Senior captain Javier De La Vega is Hobart's top returner. He had seven wins last year. Fellow senior John Solano and junior Peter Vorbach will also serve as captains for the Statesmen.

The Herons closed out their match on a two-match winning streak as they finished ninth at the 2025 CSA Walker Cup. Stewart will have eight players back, including senior captains Jess Finnerty and Jada Smith-Padmore, who will return to the lineup after taking last season off. Finnerty had 10 wins during the 2023-24 season and Smith-Padmore had seven.

The HWS Squash teams will host its home opener on December 6 when it welcomes Chatham to the Smith Squash Center. It will be the first of two matches that the teams will play at home in 2025. They will also face Denison on Dec. 7. The CSA Individual Championships will be Jan. 23-27 in New York City. St. Lawrence hosts the Liberty League Championships Feb. 13-15 in Canton, New York and the teams close out their season Feb. 27—March 1 at the CSA Team Championships in Philadelphia.
