CANTON, N.Y.— The Hobart swimming and diving team hit the road this afternoon for a dual meet at St. Lawrence. The Statesmen turned in several impressive results but were topped by the Saints 139–124.
Junior
Christopher Woody led Hobart with a first place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.00) and second place finishes in 200 individual medley (2:19.37) and 200 butterfly (2:24.51).
Sophomore
Gerard Humiston and senior
Randall Dominguez added strong freestyle performances. Humiston placed second in the 200 free (2:00.85) and 500 free (5:35.66), and second in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.59). Dominguez contributed a second place finish in the 100 free (56.03) and 50 free (24.80) and third-place finish in the 200 free (2:11.44).
From the diving board, senior
Daniel Barrientos was the only one to dive for both teams finishing with 248.62 points on the 3-meter. He then collected another 9 points on the 1-meter board with a score of 255.82.
UP NEXT:
Hobart will be back in action Dec. 4-6, when it travels to Ithaca, New York, for the Bomber Invitational. The three-day meet is set to begin at 9 a.m., on Thursday.
