ERIE, Pa.—The William Smith bowling team produced a 4-2 record in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin this weekend. The Herons, who were tied for second with Penn State Behrend and Hilbert, will head to the second AMCC Round Robin official in third place after the league's tiebreakers are applied.
Playing Baker matches, William Smith turned in two of the top team scores in program history. On Day 1, the Herons defeated Hilbert 974-850. It's the second highest total pinfall by William Smith in a Baker match. On Day 2, the Herons defeated Pitt-Greensburg 966-626, tied for the eighth highest pinfall.
William Smith had three bowlers average more than 19 pins per frame for the weekend. Senior
Michaela Morgan led the way at 19.87. Sophomore
Brooke Gervais was second at 19.53 and junior
Tiana Wolkiewicz was third at 19.32. Gervais produced a team-high 28 strikes, edging out Morgan who had 26 as well as a team-high 25 spares.
