The Hobart football team will make its final road trip of the regular season to Hamburg, New York, to take on Liberty League newcomer Hilbert on Saturday, November 8. The game will be played at St. Francis High School with kickoff scheduled for noon.
 
General admission tickets are $5 for adults (cash or credit). Children 12 and under are free.

SERIES SNAPSHOT
  • This will be the second meeting between Hobart and Hilbert.
  • The Statesmen won the inaugural meeting 49-3 in 2023.
  • Running back E.J. Taylor finished the game with 42 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
  • Linebacker Mike McGhee had five tackles, including 2.5 for loss and a pair of sacks.
 
GAME 8 RECAPS
  • Hobart 28, Rochester 21 (OT), Fauver Stadium
  • The Statesmen built a 21-0 halftime lead thanks in no small part to Taylor's running. He produced 130 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter on his way to a career-high 196 yards and the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week Award.
  • In the second half, the Yellowjackets turned the table, scoring 21 straight points to tie the game with under five minutes left in regulation.
  • Hobart missed a 50-yard field goal attempt as time expired, necessitating overtime.
  • In OT, quarterback Tru Style's 15-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marcus Peterson put the Statesmen back in front.
  • Linebacker Jeron Atwater Jr. broke up Rochester's pass into the end zone on fourth-and-goal from the 2 to clinch the victory. He was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
 
  • Union 34, Hilbert 13, Frank Bailey Field
  • The Garnet Chargers scored on their first five possessions, building a 31-0 lead through three quarters. The home team outgained the Hawks 353-172.
  • First-year defensive back Zach Brown led the Hilbert defense with 11 tackles.
  • Junior defensive back Da'Von Cockrell got the Hawks on the board with a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter.
