The top-ranked Hobart hockey team closes out the 2025 portion of its schedule on Saturday, Dec. 13, when they host Manhattanville at The Cooler. Puck drop between the Statesmen and Valiants is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
During the game, the Statesmen will hold a holiday toy drive for the Geneva Center of Concern. Donations will be collected in the lobby of the rink.
 
In addition, Hobart will have a special guest joining the team behind the bench for the game. Anthony Wadhams will serve as an assistant coach after winning the experience in an auction at the Shields of Honor Gala in November. The proceeds from the auction support Geneva's police and fire departments. Anthony will be with the team from pregame until postgame.

ABOUT THE STATESMEN

• Hobart enters the weekend with a 10-0-0 record. The Statesmen are the only team in the nation with a 1.000 winning percentage.  
• Senior Kahlil Fontana and sophomore Arvega Hovsepyan lead the SUNYAC with 13 points each.
• Fontana leads the Statesmen with nine goals and is seventh in the nation in goals per game (0.90).
• Hovsepyan paces the Statesmen with 10 assists and is seventh in the nation in assists per game (1.00)
• Between the pipes, senior Damon Beaver has the edge in minutes played. He is 7-0-0 with a 0.97 GAA and a .947 save percentage. Beaver is first in the nation in GAA and ninth in save percentage.

 
ABOUT THE VALIANTS

• Manhattanville enters the game with a 0-8-0 record. The Valiants are one of three teams without a win this season.
• Johno Hoins (2g, 2a) and Tristan D'Elia (1g, 3a) lead Manhattanville with four points each.
• Hoins and Jack Roberts share the team lead with two goals apiece.
• William Billequey has played the majority of the minutes in goal. He is 0-7-0 with a 3.57 GAA and a .907 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY

• Saturday's game will be the 56th meeting between Hobart and Manhattanville.
• Hobart leads the series 25-24-6, including a 14-10-2 advantage in Geneva.
• The former ECAC West rivals met 53 times between 2000-2018, but just twice since then.
• The two teams met 11 months ago on Jan. 4, 2025, in Rye, New York. The Statesmen defeated Manhattanville 3-0 behind goals from Chris Duclair, Austin Mourar 'G25, and Fontana. Beaver went the distance in goal and made 22 saves as he earned the shutout.
