GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior goalie
Erin Murray stopped all 21 shots she faced as the Herons defeated Salve Regina 3-0 in a New England Hockey Conference contest at The Cooler this afternoon. Murray set a pair of William Smith records in the game, collecting her seventh shutout of the season and 12th of her career.
Murray, who will be one of the five seniors honored before tomorrow afternoon's game, surpassed the career and season marks held by Olivia Williams '20. Williams had 12 shutouts from 2016-2020. She set the single-season mark with 20 during her sophomore season.
Offensively, the Herons were led by graduate student
Mackenzie O'Neil who had two goals.
Sydney Baxter made 31 saves in goal for Salve Regina.

- William Smith is now 10-11-1 overall this season with a 10-5-0 mark in conference play.
- The Seahawks fall to 13-9-0 overall with an 11-4-0 record in conference play.
SCORING SUMMARY
- O'Neil opened the scoring with two minutes remaining in the first period. She snuck a shot from the right faceoff inside the right goal post. Her fifth goal of the season was assisted by senior Lauren Legler.
- Fiona Gallagher gave William Smith a 2-0 lead. She snapped a shot from the left faceoff circle through Baxter's legs and into the back of the net. Junior Kelly Howe, who was fresh out of the penalty box, was awarded an assist on Gallagher's first collegiate goal.
- O'Neil tacked on an empty-net goal at the 17:10 mark of the third period. Kayla Ketchabaw was awarded an assist on O'Neil's sixth goal of the season.
