The HWS sailing team was back on the water this weekend, March 8-9, for a pair of regattas. HWS traveled to Washington DC to compete in Georgetown's John Jackson Team Race where it finished third.

Heron sailors were also in action in Annapolis, Maryland, competing in the Jen Harris Women's Team Race hosted by Navy.

JOHN JACKSON RACE
- HWS finished the weekend with a 10-7 record, finishing third out of 8 teams.
- In the first Round Robin. HWS was 4-3, beating Fordham, George Washington, Rhode island and Vermont.
- In Round 2, HWS was also 4-3. They beat the Rams, the Revolutionaries, Yale and the Catamounts.
- At 8-3, HWS qualified for the final four round robin. HWS was 2-1, beating Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
- Jeffrey Klempen, James Kopack, Juan Carlos Lacerda Jones, and Nico Garcia-Castrillon served as skippers for the race. Rachel Duggan, Frances Depke, Stella Kim, Henry Breslin, and Cooper Delbridge competed as crew.

HWS will be in Maryland for two regattas next weekend, March 15-16. The coed team will be in Annapolis to compete in the Graham Hall Team Race. The Herons will travel to St. Mary's City to race in St. Mary's Women's Spring Dinghy regatta.
