GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith Athletics Department announced the winners of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Awards ahead of the 2025 Heron Awards Banquet Monday, April 21. The celebration of the 2024-25 athletic seasons is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Vandervort Room of the Scandling Student Center.
 
The banquet will be webcast on HWS All-Access.  
 
The William Smith Student-Athlete Advisory Committee presents annual appreciation awards to a member of the community, a member of the faculty and a member of the staff. The community appreciation award will go to Water Street Cafe, a Captain Level Corporate Sponsor that helps fuel student-athletes and fans in the local Geneva community. The faculty appreciation award will be presented to Provost and Dean of Faculty Sarah Kirk, who serves as Faculty-Athletic Fellow for William Smith soccer. HWS Videographer and Photographer Adam Farid '20 will receive the staff appreciation award.
 
In addition to the SAAC Appreciation Awards, William Smith Athletics will present more than 40 team and department awards.
 
The William Smith Athletics Awards Banquet has been permanently underwritten thanks to the generosity of a William Smith alumna with gratitude for her experience as a Heron student-athlete.
