Statesmen break out of slump with 26-goal explosion

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart lacrosse team snapped a five-game slide with a dominant 26-13 win over St. Bonaventure in Atlantic 10 Conference play this afternoon. On Senior Day on Boswell Field, it was the Class of 2025 that led the offensive fireworks.

Senior attackman Alex Rosa posted a game-high six goals and an assist for a team-high seven points. Classmates Will Delano and John Jude Considine each finished with six points on four goals and two assists. Seniors Randall Brown and Will Plunkett scored their first career goals during the barrage. Graduate student Cole Emmanuel was dominant again at the faceoff X, winning 17-of-25 and corralling nine ground balls. Junior midfielder David Peterkin also notched six points on two goals and four assists, while sophomore faceoff specialist Mike Valent was 12-of-16 with a game-high 10 ground balls.

St. Bonaventure got seven-point games from Kellen Pulera on five goals and two assists and Jake Kucinski on four goals and three assists, but no other Bonnie had more than two points. Goalies Isaac Farmer (8 svs, 12 GA) and Evan Gallo (11 svs, 14 GA) were under constant pressure from Hobart.
