Five members of the Hobart and William Smith sailing team were named to the 2024-25 InterCollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic team.
 
The ICSA All-Academic team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in at least seven regattas during the season and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A committee comprised of representatives from conferences in the ICSA evaluates the nominated sailors.
 
The following HWS sailors garnered recognition:


• Junior Cooper Delbridge, Economics
• Senior Frances Depke, Environmental Studies
• Junior Juan Carlos LaCerda Jones, Economics
• Senior Elizabeth Starck, Movement Sciences
• Junior Laura Therien, English and Writing and Rhetoric

 
Depke and Starck also won the award last year.
 
During the 2024-25 season, HWS finished in the top five in 20 regattas, including four victories. The team competed in the Women's Fleet Race National Championship and the Open Fleet Race National Championship.
