#2 Messiah downs #9 William Smith

GRANTHAM, Pa.—The ninth-ranked William Smith soccer team was defeated by second-ranked Messiah 3-0 in a non-conference contest at Shoemaker Field this afternoon.
 
Junior Antonia Goerke started in goal for the Herons and made a career-high six saves in 90 minutes of work.
 
Brittany Laird scored twice and Hannah Adair had two assists in the win for the Falcons. Ava Wert played all 90 minutes in Messiah's goal and made two saves.
