The Hobart squash team concluded a six-game road trip with matches against Connecticut College and Wesleyan. On Wednesday, the Statesmen dropped a match against Connecticut College 8-1. This afternoon, they were defeated by Wesleyan 9-0.

AGAINST THE CAMELS
- First-year Gabriel Garcia earned Hobart's point against Connecticut College in a five-game thriller. He defeated Noah Fish, 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 7-11, 13-11 in the No. 4 spot. It was Garcia's second straight win.
- In the No. 6 spot, John Solano was edged 3-2, but he rallied from two games down to decide the fifth and deciding game. He was defeated by Andrew Nemphos, 11-6, 14-12, 8-11, 10-12, 11-6.
- The Camels had three 3-1 victories and four 3-0 sweeps as they clinched the match.

AGAINST THE CARDINALS
- Wesleyan won six of its nine points in 3-0 sweeps this afternoon.
- In the No. 3 spot, Javier De La Vega took a 2-1 lead but was ultimately edged in five games by Dominic Wilson. De La Vega had one of the closer matches of the day, losing, 8-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-3, 11-9.
- Garcia's match also went to five games in the No. 4 spot. He was beaten by Harrison Tillinghast, 6-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7.
- Caio Pavia had a tight battle in the No. 2 spot but lost 3-1.

UP NEXT
Hobart will return home on Sunday, Jan. 18, when it welcomes 17th-ranked Franklin and Marshall to the Smith Squash Center. The match is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m.
