William Smith begins homestand against #5 Nazareth

The William Smith ice hockey team will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 9, when it welcomes fifth-ranked Nazareth to The Cooler to begin a three-game homestand. The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. The Herons will play eight of their next 10 games at home.
 
William Smith enters Friday's game with a 7-4-0 overall record. The Herons are looking to bounce back from a 6-2 loss to Bowdoin on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Nazareth is 13-0-0 overall. The Golden Flyers are coming off a sweep of Salve Regina to open 2026. Nazareth beat the Seahawks 2-1 on Sunday and then won 6-2 on Monday.

  • Sophomore Bella Hacker leads William Smith with five goals and nine points. She also shares the team lead with four assists.
