For the second time, William Smith first-year Eve Morris was named the Liberty League Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced this afternoon.

Morris earned her second conference recognition after an impressive performance at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday. She raced to a 13th place finish in the 140-racer field, crossing the finish line at 23:33.0. Morris' time was more than 25 seconds faster than her previous best 6-kilometer time, landing fifth on William Smith's all-time 6K times list.
 
William Smith will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 17, when the Herons host the Warner-Fleury Invitational, previously known as the Cross Country Only Championships. The 6k is set to get underway at 11 a.m. at the Seneca Lake State Park Cross Country Course.
