10/28/2026 11:31:00 AM

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart football team will play for more than a win this Saturday, Oct. 31, when the Statesmen host Liberty League rival Rochester at Boswell Field for the 16th annual Tackles and Touchdowns game, which benefits Ability Partners Foundation. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Fans can take part by pledging $1 for every Hobart tackle and $7 for every Hobart touchdown against the Yellowjackets, or by making a flat-rate donation. Download the pledge form

The proceeds support the Ability Partners Foundation, which funds programs at Happiness House in Geneva, Rochester Rehabilitation and the services of CP Rochester. Happiness House is a school where children and adults with disabilities have the opportunity to learn and flourish in a safe environment.

Jarrid Blades '12, a former offensive lineman for the Statesmen, founded Tackles and Touchdowns in 2010. Blades was named Happiness House Volunteer of the Year in 2012 after raising more than $5,000 in the event's first two years. Over 15 seasons, Hobart has raised more than $48,500 for Ability Partners Foundation.

During Tackles and Touchdowns Week, members of the football team will visit Happiness House in Geneva. As they do every year, Statesmen will head into classrooms to read with students and play games.
