GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart squash team was defeated by 21st-ranked Rochester 9-0 at the Smith Squash Center. It was the final tune-up for the Statesmen before next weekend's Liberty League Championships in Canton.
ABOUT THE MATCH
- The Yellowjackets won seven of the nine points in 3-0 sweeps.
- Rochester clinched the match with a win in the seven spot.
- Despite being swept, Adam Le put up a strong fight in the No. 1 spot, but was edged by Gilberto Noe Aceves Moreno, 11-5, 11-8, 13-11.
- Gabriel Garcia was tripped up in the No. 5 spot 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, 11-2.
- Billy Gantcher had the closest match of the day in the No. 9 spot, but lost, 7-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-7.
