NEW ORLEANS—The Hobart and William Smith sailing team finished 15th at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Open Team Race National Championships hosted by Tulane this weekend.
Racing started on Thursday on Lake Ponchartrain. Sailors arrived to sunny skies with temps in the 70s and a promising breeze out of the east-southeast at 7 knots. Ninety total races were completed on Day 1. On Friday, racing was contested in a six-knot southerly wind with the Round of 16 Round Robin being completed by 1 p.m.

Jamie McGuffee sailed as crew. They won two races on Friday, defeating Tufts and Northwestern on the opening day of racing.
The Round of 8 Round Robin was completed on Friday afternoon and the Final Four Round Robin was contested on Saturday. Harvard captured the Walter C. Wood Trophy as National Champion, posting a 22-3 record. The Crimson were 15-1 in the opening round robin.
