For the second time this season, Hobart first-year defenseman
Colman Craft earned national recognition, landing a spot on the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week.
Â
Craft turned in a strong performance in Hobart's Atlantic 10 contest at St. Bonaventure, recording four caused turnovers and two ground balls while helping lead the Statesmen's 13-12 win. His ability to disrupt possessions and apply pressure on opponents played a key role in the game.
Â
Earlier this week, Craft was also named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his efforts against the Bonnies. The native of Pittsburgh has emerged as one of the top takeaway artists in the nation. He leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks third in the nation in caused turnovers per game (2.55).
Â
Craft finished the season with 28 caused turnovers, eclipsing the Hobart season record of 25 set in 2013 by Reid Rosello '13.
Â
Craft earned his first USILA Team of the Week honor after producing eight caused turnovers and five ground balls in games against Cornell and Robert Morris.
Â
Hobart finished the season with a 3-10 overall record, 1-5 in the A10.
