Five members of the Hobart and William Smith sailing team were named to the 2025-26 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association All-Academic team.
 
The ICSA All-Academic team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in at least seven regattas during the season and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
 
The following HWS sailors garnered recognition:
 

• Senior, Cooper Delbridge, Economics
• Senior, Elijah Goldman, Physics
• Junior, Bennett O'Keefe, Biology
• Junior, Reilly Roedel, Environmental Studies
• Senior, Laura Therien, English and Writing and Rhetoric

 
Delbridge and Therien also won the award last year.
 
During the 2025-26 season, HWS finished in the top five in 16 regattas, including a third-place finish at the Prosser Trophy and a fifth-place finish at the America Trophy, the Middle Atlantic Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association Championships Heron sailors were fourth at the MAISA Women's Fleet Race Championship.
 
At the end of April, HWS earned at-large bids to both ICSA Fleet Race Championships in Tampa, Florida. The women's championship will begin Friday, May 12 and the open championship will begin on May 19.
