Herons host #21 Tartans in Alumnae Weekend matchup

The William Smith soccer team will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 13, when it welcomes 21st-ranked Carnegie Mellon to Cozzens Field for a non-conference contest. The game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
 
In addition to Sunday's game, this is also William Smith's alumnae weekend. Events surrounding the game include a meet and greet with the team, a social at Ardennes on Saturday and a tailgate prior to Sunday's game.
 
William Smith is 2-1-0 on the season and is looking to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to seventh-ranked Washington and Lee on Sunday.  
 
The Tartans are 2-0-1. Last Sunday, Carnegie Mellon and Ohio Northern battled to a 0-0 draw.

  • Senior Ameya Moncrieffe and junior Kristin Middaugh share the team lead with two goals and four points each.

  • Lauren Ricapito also has three goals.
  • Lily Christofferson has the edge in minutes played in goal for Carnegie Mellon. She is 2-0-1 with a 0.45 GAA and a .875 save percentage.
