The Hobart football team will make its first road trip of the season, visiting Utica on Saturday, Sept. 19. The opening kickoff at Gaetano Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
 
Tickets are $5 (cash only) and can be purchased at the stadium gate on game day.

Series Snapshot

• Hobart leads 3-1, including a 20-17 win in Geneva last season.

Last Week for Hobart

• The Statesmen improved to 2-0 with a 27-14 win over Brockport last Saturday.
• Hobart had six takeaways, including five interceptions in the game. Senior cornerback Zeshan Dixon had a team-high 13 tackles and three picks, including a 72-yard interception return for a touchdown to complete the day's scoring.
• Senior running back E.J. Taylor rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.
• Sophomore quarterback Aidan Conrath threw for 142 yards and a TD. Junior wideout Johnny Harding caught five passes for 42 yards and a TD.

 
Liberty League Honors

• Dixon was named the Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week and also earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.
• Graduate student punter Vicente Lyon was named the Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week. He averaged 42.1 yards per punt, pinning the Golden Eagles inside their own 20 three times.

 
Last Week for Utica

• The Pioneers also improved to 2-0, winning 38-14 at RPI.
• Utica went into halftime with a 20-14 lead, but pulled away in the second half, scoring 18 unanswered points.
• Senior quarterback Tyler Szalkowski threw for 402 yards and two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Tyshawn Taylor caught eight passes for 244 yards and a touchdown.
• Junior linebacker Isaiah Thomas led the defense with 14 tackles and a sack.
