Presented for the first time at the 2009 Block H Dinner, the Van Etten Golf Award is given to a member of the golf team who aspires to excellence and whose leadership and play is marked by dedication, determination, and good sportsmanship.

The Van Etten Golf Award has been endowed by the generous loyalty of Bob Van Etten '63, a charter member and past president of the Statesmen Athletic Association.
