The Dorinne Maxwell Memorial Citizenship Prize honors Dorinne Maxwell, a friend of Hobart Athletics from the time she and her husband, Bill, arrived on campus in January 1991 until her death on Nov. 1, 2006. Dorinne was devoted to her family, to Hobart Athletics, and to the community of Geneva. In her humble, quiet way, Dorinne was actively involved with St. Stephen's Church, the Red Cross, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and especially the Geneva Center of Concern. The award is presented annually to a student, member of the staff or faculty, or to a friend of the Colleges whose service mirrors the ideals of Dorinne Maxwell and whose helping hand has enriched the lives of others. The recipient will select a charity to receive a monetary contribution in Dorinne Maxwell's memory.
