Team of Distinction: 1984 Hobart Lacrosse

The 1984 Hobart lacrosse team was named a Team of Distinction on April 26, 2014. In 1984, the Statesmen compiled a 9-4 record, including an 8-0 mark against Division III opponents. The team recovered from a three-game swoon midseason to win its final five games, defeating Washington (Md.) College 12-5 in the national championship game. Goalie Chuck Warren was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, Tom Grimaldi '85 earned the Lt. Col. Jack Turnbull Award (National Attackman of the Year) and Pat O'Hara '84 captured the Fran McCall Award. It was the fifth consecutive NCAA Division III title for the Statesmen.
