Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

The S. Ford Weiskittel Rowing Award is presented to the Hobart oarsman who in his all-around performance, has proven to be most valuable to his team. The award has been endowed through the generous loyalty of Ford Weiskittel, who founded modern rowing at Hobart in 1982 after a lapse of nearly 100 years and who was the first coach of the team. (Previously named the Most Valuable Rower Award, 1998-2003)

The Kent D. Smack '97 Award recognizes the oarsman who has demonstrated the most improvement during the season or over the course of his career. Kent Smack started his rowing career as a novice for Hobart and developed into an Olympian for Team USA at the 2004 Athens Games. The SAA and Hobart rowing are deeply grateful for the generous loyalty of Robert E. Kandel '65 for endowing this award.
 

The Charles "Chip" Hart Award is presented to the oarsman whose determination and commitment throughout the season have been inspirational to the Hobart rowing team.  This award recognizes Chip Hart for his dedication to the Friends of Hobart Rowing.

The Rookie Award for Rowing is presented each year to the novice rower who establishes himself as the strongest rookie oarsmen on the Hobart rowing team.
