In 2022, Leake returned to his alma mater after an all-star playing career for the Statesmen. The cornerbacks coach was a three-time All-Liberty League selection at the position, including first team honors in 2019 and 2021. Leake also earned D3football.com all-region honors in each of his final two seasons. In 39 career games, he produced 127 tackles, 27 pass breakups and seven interceptions.
Over the past two seasons, Leake has worked with three all-conference corners, including first team selections Abdoulaye Dialo and Zeshan Dixon. In 2024, Hobart ranked sixth in the nation in defensive touchdowns, including three pick sixes, 11th in passing yards allowed (150.5/gm) and 18th in interceptions (16) and set a Hobart season record for passing yards allowed per completion (9.5).Â
As a student-athlete, Leake generated a career-high 55 tackles in 2019, helping the Statesmen go 9-2 including a 30-10 win at Cortland in the New York State Bowl. In 2021, he had 31 tackles and notched a career-high 11 passes defended as Hobart again went 9-2 and won the Bushnell Bowl at Westminster. Leake was invited to the New York Giants’ 2022 rookie minicamp.
