Williams graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in history. He continued his education and coaching career, joining the Utica staff as a graduate assistant coach. Williams worked with the Pioneers’ tight ends, wide receivers and kick returners. He earned a master's degree in adolescent education in 2015.
Williams was a member of the Endicott coaching staff from 2015 through 2017. He coached on both sides of the ball for the Gulls, serving as the pass game coordinator in his first season and defensive backs coach after that. Williams also served as the head coach of the junior varsity team.
Williams spent one season as the defensive line coach at the University of Rochester before spending the next two years across town in the same capacity for St. John Fisher. He was also the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator.
