Mike Eglintine joined the Hobart and William Smith Strength and Conditioning team as an assistant coach before the start of the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Eglintine made his way to the shores of Seneca Lake following a year as a strength and conditioning graduate fellow at Merrimack College. His primary responsibilities included designing and implementing programs for the Warrior baseball and women’s swimming and diving teams. Eglintine also assisted with the Merrimack women’s basketball and football teams. He earned a master’s degree in exercise and sport science from Merrimack in May.
 
Eglintine received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science/fitness development from SUNY Cortland in 2023. He completed two internships during his undergraduate career. During the 2022 spring semester, Eglintine served as football strength and conditioning intern at Syracuse University. In his final semester, he interned in the Iona University strength and conditioning, working with the baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse teams.
 
In addition to his academic pursuits, Eglintine was a four-year member of the Red Dragon football team. A tight end, he helped Cortland win a pair of Empire 8 Championships and was named the 2022 Empire 8 Football Sportsman of the Year.
 
Eglintine is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified strength and conditioning specialist.
