Berry is the associate head coach of strength and conditioning and director of sports science. He began his time with HWS as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2022 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2024. As the director of sports science, Berry will oversee the expansion of sport science programs at HWS to improve athlete performance and well-being.Â
Berry came to HWS after spending the previous five years as a performance specialist with Ignition Athletic Performance Group. During that time, he provided strength and conditioning programming for Loveland and Turpin high schools, assisted the Cincinnati Bengals strength and conditioning staff, worked with professional football players during the offseason and led the strength and conditioning program for the Cincinnati Angels, an AAU basketball program.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and fitness, Berry is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified strength and conditioning specialist and a USA Weightlifting Level 1 sports performance coach.

As an undergraduate, Berry worked as a student intern with the Bearcats’ football, golf, swimming and diving, soccer and cheerleading teams. He also spent a summer as a strength and conditioning intern for the University of Kentucky football team.
