Michael Eighmey has served as an assistant coach for Hobart cross country since the start of the 2016 season. He brings more than 25 years of coaching and athletic administration experience in various sports and related disciplines to the Colleges.
Before joining the Statesmen, Eighmey served as the associate head boys’ and girls’ cross country coach at Geneva High School. He also brings experience at the collegiate level, working as the head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Wells College from 2006-08. While with the Express, he also coached men’s lacrosse from 2005-08.
Outside of coaching, Eighmey worked as a sales engineer for Garlock Sealing Technologies for seven years and served as a U.S. Navy deep sea diver for 10 years.
Currently, Eighmey works full time as the vice president of sales for Anthony Road Wine Company.
