Callen returned to Hobart and William Smith Colleges in August of 2022, serving as an assistant strength coach.

 Callen previously served as a strength and conditioning intern at the Colleges during the spring of 2021. She worked with all of HWS’ teams during her internship, organizing team sessions, assisting with warm-up and demonstrating exercises. Callen directed both the Hobart and William Smith tennis teams in all aspects of strength and condition during their in-season campaigns.
 
Following her stint in Geneva, Callen served as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Connecticut. Her primary focus was assisting with the summer training for men’s hockey, women’s volleyball and softball. Callen also continued her education through an intern curriculum during which she helped with program design for the women’s lacrosse team.
 
During the 2021-22 school year, Callen served as a strength and condition graduate fellow at Merrimack College. With the Warriors, she worked with men’s tennis, women’s cross country and golf teams, leading them in all aspects of strength and conditioning. Callen also assisted in game warm-ups and coaching for the women’s basketball team. She also created a staff calendar and delegated weekly tasks to the other graduate fellows.
 
Callen graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in strength and conditioning. In May, she earned a master’s in exercise and sports science from Merrimack. Callen is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is USATF Level 1 certified.
