Sam DeLuccia joined the Hobart College tennis team as an assistant coach at the start of the 2013-14 season.
A native of Horseheads, N.Y., DeLuccia was a three-year member of the Statesmen tennis team after transferring to Hobart his sophomore year. He produced a 34-31 career singles record and a 34-28 mark in doubles. DeLuccia was a co-captain and earned All-Liberty League honorable mention singles recognition in his senior year. He was a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection and received Hobart’s 2010-11 Rookie Award and the 2012-13 Myron V. Jacobs ’37 Trophy for excellence as a tennis player and citizen of the campus community.
DeLuccia earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in cognition, logic and language in 2013. He is currently working full time in the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Admissions Office as the Search Coordinator and Campus Event Assistant.
