Allison Price joined the Heron hoops staff prior to the 2008-09 season, following one year as an assistant at Hiram College.

In 2007, Price earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science with a minor in sociology from John Carroll University. A four-year member of the Blue Streaks varsity basketball team, she served as team captain, and was named an Ohio Athletic Conference all-star and the team’s most valuable offensive player in 2007. Price was also a three-year member of the varsity track and field team, and acted as a leader in many other areas of campus life, including the student government, campus voter registration drive, the University Food Service Student Advocacy Committee, and the Residence Life Advocacy Committee.

As an assistant coach with the Terriers, Price helped lead the team to a 15-11 overall record. She was involved with all aspects of the program, including planning and implementing practice plans, game preparation, film breakdown, scouting reports, recruiting, and player development. Price was also responsible for designing strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes, as well as preparing and supervising off-season conditioning. She also has four years of experience coaching a high school summer league team.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Price attended Chaminade-Julienne High School. She led her high school basketball team to a No. 1 national ranking as a junior, and an Ohio State Championship as a senior.
