Former All-American Sasha Williams joined the William Smith basketball program to serve as the top assistant coach for the 2023-24 season. A member of the Stockton University Hall of Fame Class of 2023, she also played professionally for Tirso Igualatorio in Spain.
 
A 2018 graduate of Stockton, Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. On the basketball court, she was the first player in New Jersey Athletic Conference history to be named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Year four consecutive times. A four-time All-NJAC selection, Williams was a first team pick in each of her final three seasons. She helped the Ospreys to a 79-32 record during her career, earning NCAA tournament appearances in 2015 and 2016.
 
Williams broke the Stockton career records for rebounds (1,212) and blocks (547) and ranks fourth in scoring (1,489), sixth in assists (241) and 10th in steals (173). Her many impressive achievements include three career triple doubles. She capped her collegiate career with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 12 blocked shots at TCNJ in the NJAC Tournament Semifinals. Both the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and D3hoops.com named Williams to their All-America honorable mention team in 2018.
 
After graduation, Williams returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach. She played and coached in Spain in 2020. When she returned to the States, Williams worked as an admissions councilor for Strayer University in Travose, Pennsylvania. She has also served as a sports and leadership coach for Strive: How You Lead Matters and at the academic elite camp for HoopGroup.
