Salisbury was named to the Hobart College volleyball coaching staff prior to the start of its inaugural season in 2024. He brings roughly 30 years of coaching experience to Geneva, including experience helping implement and develop two new collegiate programs in Nazareth University and Finger Lakes Community College as their assistant coach.
 
Salisbury has spent the last 28 years as the varsity boys’ volleyball coach at Midlakes High School, compiling a 438-164 record as head coach. In his 28 years, he won nine sectional titles, 20 league championships and has been a sectional finalist 21 times. Salisbury has been named Coach of the Year 10 times. From 2010-16, Salisbury was also the head coach of the Screaming Eagles girls’ varsity program, where he compiled an 85-40 overall record. He was named the Coach of the Year three times, winning two sectional titles, and finishing sectional runners-up twice.
 
The Clifton Springs, New York, native brings an extensive background in coaching. On top of his time in high school volleyball, Salisbury has worked as the USA volleyball impact clinician, the Western Scholastic Boys volleyball team head coach, the Director of Education for Western Empire Volleyball Association as well as the Section V High School Boys Volleyball Coordinator. He spent several years helping build the Nazareth and FLCC volleyball programs and was named the AVCA 2011 Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year.
