Thompson was named to the Messiah Homewood Suites Tip-Off Tournament All-Tournament Team. He averaged 18.5 ppg and 7.0 apg as the Statesmen went 1-1 in their opening weekend. Thompson opened the season with a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists in a 71-68 set back to Dickinson. In the tournament's third place game, Thompson scored a game-high 21 points in a 69-56 win over the host Falcons. He knocked down 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in both games.
