Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

The Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week, Smith tied the Hobart game record for most blocked kicks, blocking a pair of punts in Hobart's 41-20 win at Union on Saturday. His block in the first quarter set up the Statesmen's first scoring drive midway through the first quarter. Smith got his second blocked punt in the second quarter, this time scooping up the loose ball and returning it 18 yards for a touchdown, the first Statesmen to return a blocked punt for a TD since Sept. 1, 2012. He was also credited with three tackles in the game.
