Klutts, one of William Smith's brightest student-athletes, and her Heron field hockey teammates earned the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Team Award, which was announced on March 9. Together, they posted a team grade point average of 3.48, just missing a spot in the top 5 in Division III which began at 3.5.
Hardly a rare occurrence for Hobart and William Smith student-athletes, the Herons and Statesmen have earned more than 100 awards for academic excellence already this year.
