Hughes broke the William Smith lacrosse record for caused turnovers in a game, not once, but twice last week, leading the Herons to a pair of Liberty League victories. In Friday's 8-6 win over St. Lawrence, she recorded six caused turnovers, eclipsing the mark previously shared by Torie Allen, Brigid Lynch and Hughes. A day later, Hughes broke the record again with seven caused turnovers in a 12-7 win over Clarkson. She also recorded a total of 11 ground balls, a draw, and an assist over the two games. Hughes is second in the nation with 3.86 caused turnovers per game.
