Hartigan rushed for a game and season high 88 yards and a touchdown and had a 1,051.6 passer rating, leading the Statesmen to a 37-7 Homecoming victory over WPI. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry against an Engineer defense that came into the game allowing just 3.4 yards per rush. Hartigan scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter that put the home team up 14-0. He also completed a halfback option pass for 74 yards, Hobart's longest pass play of the season, and a touchdown.
