Williams stopped 37 of the 38 shots she faced, guiding the Herons to a 3-1 victory in her collegiate debut Saturday afternoon. She finished the game with a .974 save percentage. Williams saved her best effort for the third period where she stopped 18 of the 19 UMass Boston shots she faced. Her biggest stops came in the final minute of the game when she robbed a pair of point-blank power play opportunities. Williams is the first William Smith goalie to earn a win in her collegiate debut.
