With a fourth-place finish in the Laser North No. 2, Padnos qualified for the Carl Van Duyne Trophy, the MAISA Singlehanded Championship, Oct. 10-11. He finished with a regatta score of 76 after placing in the top-6 in 12 of 15 races. Padnos is the fourth Statesman to qualify for the Van Duyne, joining #John Moulthrop#, #Sam Blouin#, and #Tim Zacher#.
