LaPlante had a pair of goals in William Smith's weekend sweep of Salve Regina. In her collegiate debut, she scored the game-winning goal 58 seconds into overtime to give the Herons a 3-2 victory over the Seahawks. LaPlante pounced on a rebound in front of the cage and fired a shot under the crossbar for her first collegiate goal. The next day, she opened the scoring in a 5-1 victory.
