The 25th-ranked Hobart College squash team fell to #17 Amherst 7-2 this afternoon in the Smith Squash Center. The Statesmen slip to 6-7 on the season, while the Lord Jeffs improve to 4-7 overall.

Alex Khaddar (Canterbury School/Brooklyn, N.Y.) prevailed at No. 8 in an exciting match vs. Amherst's Brad Corbin, winning 9-2, 6-9, 9-6, 6-9, 9-4, while first-year
George Riggs (University of Miami Online High/Baltimore, Md.) was the other victorious Statesman. He defeated Zach Porges at the No. 9 spot 9-1, 9-6, 9-3. Khaddar owns a 6-3 individual mark, while Riggs stands at 4-1.
Hobart squash will be back on the courts on Jan. 27, when they host Rochester in the Smith Squash Center at 7 p.m.
