ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca swimming and diving team defeated William Smith 178-43 tonight. The Bombers, who won all 12 events, improve to 4-0, while the Herons slip to 1-1.

Casey Sherwin posted William Smith's top finish. She placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.94 seconds. Sherwin, along with Caitlin O'Brien, Amanda Woods, and Emily Rogowski, also took second in the 200 free relay in 1:51.61.

The Herons got third place efforts from Jessica Cook (100 backstroke, 1:07.14) and Heidi Gordon (100 breaststroke, 1:17.52).

William Smith will be back in the pool on Nov. 14, when the Herons host Alfred in Bristol Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
